The Course: Post graduate MBA students take this introductory HRM course and working with Riipen clients enables them to gain opportunities to apply HR theory and principles.

Course Structure: The course runs on a 11 week term, both on and off line, and students work in Learning Teams (LT) of between 2 and 5 students. Normally 2 LTs work on each Riipen project. -Spring Term 2021 runs from April 12 to July 4 2021.

Key milestones include:

Week 2 - 1st Meeting between Riipen client and LT of students to fill any information gaps.

Week 4 - Submission of formal Proposal/Action Plan by the LT to the Riipen Client to which formal feedback and evaluation is provided by the client.

Week 9: Submission of Final Report by the LT to the Riipen Client to which formal feedback and evaluation is provided by the client.

Week 11: Oral PP Presentation of Final Reports LT students to the Riipen Client (if required by the Client) to which formal feedback and evaluation is provided by the client

Types of Projects of Interest to LT Students

- Provide Human Resource Management (HRM) and Human Resource Development (HRD) advise and support.

- Conduct HRM and HRD research

- Benchmark best practices on a variety of HRM and HRD practices and systems

- Evaluate various HRM and HRD initiatives and interventions along the HR employee cycle.

- HR policy and practice development along all stage of the HR cycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employer branding, performance management, learning, training and development, reward management and labour relations,

- Benchmarking projects on various HRM and HRD initiatives.

- Conduct an audit of the HRM and HRD function.

- Evaluate various HRM and HRD functions.

- Prepare recruitment and selection packages.
