The main goal for the project is to create engaging and inclusive social media posts and graphics that accurately represent the stories and experiences of the afro-black community in Canada. This will involve several different steps for the learners, including:


- Researching and understanding the mission and goals of FESTIBEC AFRO-BLACK WEB TV.


- Developing a content calendar for social media posts and graphics.


- Creating original and compelling content that highlights the afro-black community's experiences and perspectives.


- Collaborating with the FESTIBEC AFRO-BLACK WEB TV team to ensure the content aligns with their vision and values.


- Utilizing design software to create visually appealing graphics and images.


- Implementing a social media strategy to maximize the reach and impact of the content.


Deliverables


By the end of the project, learners should complete the following tasks:


- A content calendar outlining the schedule and topics for social media posts and graphics.


- Original and engaging social media posts and graphics that accurately represent the afro-black community's stories and experiences.


- Collaboration with the FESTIBEC AFRO-BLACK WEB TV team to ensure the content meets their standards.


- Implementation of a social media strategy to promote the content and engage the target audience.



Final deliverables should include:


- A portfolio of the created social media content.


- A report detailing the content creation process and the impact of the social media strategy.


Mentorship

Students will be supported in social media content creation through dedicated staff time for guidance and mentorship, ensuring they have access to necessary tools and technology such as design software and social media management platforms. Additionally, providing access to relevant data and analytics can empower students to make informed decisions and refine their content strategies. Regular check-ins and feedback sessions will further bolster their confidence and skills, fostering a supportive environment for their creative endeavors.
