VFC Intrapreneurship Project: Nature Trust of New Brunswick

PROJECT DESCRIPTION/DESCRIPTION DU PROJET: The Nature Trust is embarking on a journey of mapping out our Equity Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) framework as it relates to our organizational values and strategic imperatives. Over the past few years, we have taken steps to improve our EDI practices; however, it has been disjointed and isolated incidents. Through an EDI road map, we will foster a culture of inclusion and respect among our staff, volunteers, board members and community partners to promote equity at the workplace, in our policies, and in practice to mitigate risk and lead to innovation and engagement in the field of conservation. We are looking for an individual to help us in our journey of developing an EDI roadmap by conducting an environmental scan of EDI practices in Canada. This would include researching the best EDI practices for Canadian organizations, comparing the Nature Trust to other environmental/land trust organizations, and determining the population demographics of New Brunswick and how it might impact EDI. The Nature Trust offers an inclusive work place, in which staff and volunteers are treated equally and with respect, and a vibrant work culture defined by a shared vision of a healthy future for both the lands and people of New Brunswick.
